Defective replaced by TDB<\/li>\n<li>RAM, 8*NEC D4164-2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sellers description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Good Commodore 64 personal computer, tape player, 1 joystick, leads +&nbsp;power pack.<br \/>\nThe power pack overheated at one stage but still worked &#8211; hence the tape around it.<br \/>\nI have not tested to see if the power pack will still work&nbsp;but I would say it was much safer to use an alternative power pack!<br \/>\nThe Commodore has not recently been tested but was working when last used and has been well looked after so I do not see there would be any problems with it.<br \/>\nNo original packaging.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Repair log:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Black screen of Death. No clock on MOS 8701. Replaced<\/li>\n<li>Grey screen of Death (blue border). VIC2 defective. Replaced.<\/li>\n<li>Glued datasette connector (broken plastic). Ground wire torn &#8211; hidden in connector (rarely used anyway).<\/li>\n<li>Trashed PSU as it is non-repairable (covered in un-removable epoxy). Salvaged wire\/connector for Commodore 64<\/li>\n<li>Re-capped motherboard<\/li>\n<li>Cleaned and lubricated datasette<\/li>\n<li>Changed both drive belts in datasette<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work in progress:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heatsinking larger MOS chips<\/li>\n<li>Put week+year of new 8701 and VIC2 in here \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<li>Overvoltage protection on motherboard (P6KE6.8CA)<\/li>\n<li>Re-capping datasette<\/li>\n<li>Build new PSU<\/li>\n<li>Clean\/test joystick<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Costs (total DKK 1.000):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Breadbin, joystick, books and datasette: DKK 500.-<\/li>\n<li>MOS 8701: DKK 100,-<\/li>\n<li>VIC2: DKK 175,-<\/li>\n<li>PSU (transformator): DKK 125,-<\/li>\n<li>Misc.: DKK 100,-<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Let me know if you will buy it for my costs when it is done \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you have a defective \/ non working Commodore 64 breadbin?
